'picnic' is made from a vintage cotton fabric featuring bold panels of turquoise flowers and windowpane check.
'sakura' is made from a vintage linen/cotton blend featuring brilliant pink and brown blossoms printed on an ivory background.
'sakura' and 'picnic' are available now at my etsy shop.
the fabric used to make 'sakura' was purchased at lucky rooster (1706 charles street @ commercial drive). in addition to vintage fabrics and notion, lucky rooster also offers a variety of vintage clothing and curios.
in other news, hadley has been a kitten for about three months now - i am mama kitten, chris is daddy kitten - we have to request 'human' kisses or she licks our faces!
when she's not a kitten, she LOVES dressing up - here she is modeling my vintage italian sunglasses i purchased from ebay (a steal at only $5) - i soon discovered that the joke was on me - the nose of the frame was so pinched that the lenses were practically touching each other - the local optometrist bent them back into shape for me, but now they make me look cross-eyed. not the look i was going for.
AND - mette was featured in the april 3, 2008 georgia straight style issue!
