at two o'clock yesterday, i remembered that hadley's pre-school was celebrating chinese new year today - and we were to bring the dumplings.
uh-oh.
we had never made dumplings before so with some trial and error - two hours later - we turned out SIXTEEN little vegetarian dumplings. it reminded me of the time chris made perogies with the little orange perogy maker. he worked for HOURS - to produce only a couple dozen perogies. the orange disc was frisbeed out the back door.
with the dumplings done and the kitchen a mess - why not make fortune cookies, too!
hadley wrote the fortune's - drawings of flowers, her friends, polka dots and signing her name - and we tucked them into the cookies before bringing them to class this afternoon.
