time out

.
i spent the weekend visiting my little sister in victoria - her apartment hallway is reminiscent of the shining so we tried channeling the grady twins.

on saturday we went to the 22nd annual moss street paint-in.

we had our portraits sketched by thirteen-year-old anya. her rates are $1 for black+white and $2 for colour - this is her seventh year!

although we didn't buy any art - we did score at the many garage sales along the way.

i purchased this beautifully embroidered linen from the designer herself - she made this piece in 1969 and (being left-handed) the stitches are all backwards. very cool. it will make an awesome pillow.

it was a wicked weekend. my sister made me breakfast two days in a row - and - on sunday we slept until 930am.
