bee's knees

.
i had the opportunity to contribute to a fundraiser held this weekend with proceeds benefiting arts umbrella, and vgh + ubc hospital foundation

so i made this very special dress for the occasion.

the classic art nouveau print is liberty of london's 'ianthe' in a fresh colourway of coral and turquoise. the fabric is silk crepe de chine [lined in silk] and drapes  b e a u t i f u l l y.

hadley snuck in some twirls before it was delivered.

our favourite dress ever.

last week jennifer and i attended "fabulous"
at the museum of vancouver and hosted by vancouver mom.

it was a fabulous night - we met some great women, drank wine and viewed ivan sayer's incredible art deco dress collection.

"art deco chic" is on exhibit until september 23, 2012.

[bee's knees:  perfection; anything that's good.  from a flapper's dictionary, 1922]

I love the dress, I'll bet it was hard for Hadley to part with it!

I remember seeing Ivan Sayers' collection at the Vancouver Museum in the early '90's! I need to go back for sure.
